Vacancy – Director of Taxation
Kreston KM & Co. LLP (Kreston KM), is a distinguished professional services firm in Kenya,

growth in an ever-changing regulatory environment.
Kreston KM has an immediate vacancy for a taxation leader to occupy the position of Director
of Taxation at the firm. Reporting to the Managing Partner, the Director of Taxation shall be
responsible for:
a) Ensuring that all our clients remain tax compliant with respect to all relevant tax
obligations.
b) Responding to enquiries regarding taxation services from prospects within and outside
the country.
c) Responding to KRA’s tax queries on behalf of our clients, including providing assistance
and support during any KRA tax audits.
d) Generating leads for additional tax work.
e) Liaising with associate tax experts who may be called upon from time to time to assist in
resolving assignments that are more complex.
f) Ensuring staff receive adequate training in the area of taxation, especially with respect
to taxation changes occasioned by each Finance Act.
g) Assisting in preparation for tax proposals.
Qualifications
- To qualify for this position, the candidate must:
Hold a university degree or equivalent and be a CPA finalist, preferably a member of
ICPAK. Those who hold a diploma in taxation from KESRA shall have an added
advantage. - Be a cut-above-average professional who can demonstrate superior knowledge in
taxation both in depth and breadth. He/She must be well versed with all the tax laws in
Kenya including, among others, the Kenya Income Tax Act, the VAT Act, and the Tax
Procedures Act. - Have gained practical experience in taxation of not less than five (5) years, working with
either a tax authority in Kenya or a reputable professional firm of tax advisors. - Demonstrate superior people skills, be a problem solver, and possess an entrepreneurial attitude.
Compensation
Upon selection, the successful candidate shall have an opportunity to negotiate a
commensurate compensation package for this prestigious position.
